Model Making Final Model House (1:20)

Material: Balsawood, plastic from food packaging, cardboard

The idea behind this design started with the basis of a cube. Through dissecting and subtracting elements of a cube form, I aim to create a home which interior  boasts an open feel with an abundance of natural light.

Model Making-Balsa Wood Impressionistic approach Impressionistic Approach Began by making 5 identical 7x7x7cm cubes. Though started off with identical and seemingly homogeneous cubes, I was able to create fascinating spaces. Through various methods such as stacking and experimentation with placement layout, I was able to play around with its ambience and atmosphere generated through photographs taken at different angles.  1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.5 Experimenting in creating a more "concrete/defined" space with the use of sticks, columns and slabs.  Inspired by small segment from a paper model made previously.  Model 1:100 4.1  4.2 4.3 4.5
